Yes - I'm sure no deer would know the difference between your load and another at maximum. Some rilfes and/or chamberings are more accurate with sub-maximum loads. Others prefer to be pushed hot. Rifles are a lot like women - you have to see what suits them best. (Some can be pretty fickle and others don't care)
