Do you ever hunt in the rain and snow? I shot today in a light drizzle and only stopped when the sky opened up on me and mean it poured. I shoot year round, except in heavy rain. Snow don't bother me at all. In fact I like to shoot in the snow.

Depending on how soon you have to hunt with the rifle and how many times you might make the range, you could make a decision.
