can someone recomend a scope for around 350 for my Remington 700 mt rifle.most of the scopes 2.5 to 10 or 3x9 seem to big most of my shots are under 150yds...ED
I've got a 700 Mtn Rifle in 7x57, that wears a Vortex Viper 2-7x32. That scope looks just about perfect perched atop that rifle, & the magnification matches the capabilities of the cartridge quite well. I feel one would have to spend far more $$$ to get appreciably better glass than this. As a bonus the Salesman's Sample price shown here is $100 less than your budget:

Also, if most of your shots are < 150 yards, would you consider a really good fixed 4x? You'll spend less than the $350, & and still have
plenty of scope for what this type of hunting. Here's one suggestion:
