I'm mainly buying it for public land (23,000 acres 15 minutes from my house), and its solid mountains. My average walk is around 1 mile, and when you add my backpack onto the stand, that adds about 10 lbs. I've been looking at the summit open shot, but have concerns about the safety of it.
