I think you' re probably right, but I' ve never asked. I think there are too many variables that affect it to just say a specific time every year though. If we have an early spring, you' ll have an earlier peak. There has been much less research done about external influences on turkeys than on deer. Turkeys don' t seem to be affected by the lunar tables like deer and other wildlife do because they aren' t primarily nocturnal. I think they are very sensitive to weather conditions though.
