I farm, and we're picking peanuts right now as a matter of fact. trust me when i tell you those deer will still hit that picked peanut field hard. a peanut picker will not get every single peanut out of the field, you have some that fall off and others that get kicked off by the picker, so theres plenty still on the ground. hogs, turkeys, deer, they'll all still hit them hard. but a good winter plot would be something like wheat, rye, oats, or even peas. good luck.
