My sisters ex used to make headshots on deer with the deuce-deuce all the time,,, everytime dropping the deer in its tracks. He bowhunts as well, and always made great shots with his bow. Though he one time shot a spike too high, and just caught the meat right over the deers vitals. No blood, no vitals, just hair.

I will agree that there is a lower margin of error for a vitals shot than a head shot, but we are all human, and error is a fact of everyday life. You'll have error whether its vitals or head.
