That is a great rifle. I am sure it will do real well for you. 100 grains of black powder 2f (Goex) and a .018 moosemilk patch and .530 roundball and I bet it will shoot just fine. Also they come with a Agate that is very good. I got over 50 shots off mine. Just wipe them and the pan out with alcohol from time to time and they spark just fine. Lyman is a very good rifle. I bet it will bring a smile to your face. Wish I was there to watch you shoot it for the first time. But there is hunting to do around here..
