Don' t forget that removing the grip is also going to effectively change your draw length as well how much depends upon how thick the grip WAS and how much you plan to wrap back on..........
I' ve seen bows wrapped with SIMS insulator wrap, and held them and I didn' t like it at all felt weird, was too " Grippy" and looked like....[X(]. I however have never wrapped one so I can' t comment on the process.
Another option to consider is Tennis Racket Grip Wrap. Its a tough but smooth and slightly cushioned vinyl. It should come in colors, but it is a potential scent control problem I guessif it gets funky.
You could also order a custom Shrewd grip for it, but you are talking some bucks for that route. Not sure but they might also offer just custom sideplates as well? I thought I remember seeing someone with a 2002 Patriot with custom sideplates.
