I am not going to say anything about either of the candidates, but I want to point out something about the office of the President. HE/SHE HAS SUCH A LIMITED AMOUNT OF POWER. Because of all of the promises candidates make on the campaign trail we think they are going to go to Washington and rip the government apart. Based on the Constitution the president cannot do much of anything. Meaning he cannot introduce any sort of legislation, which is the starting pointfor any change in American politics.
It all boils down to this. IfObama is elected he will try his entire termto undo whatBush did and in the end not accomplish much of anything. If McCain is elected he will spend his entire term continuing whatBush has done and not accomplish much of anything. This is not just my opinion, this is how the American political system works.
I believe this thinking is flawed for one reason, the democrats will have FULL controll and will be able to pass most any liberall agenda that THEY see fit and there way of thinking really challenges the ideas America was built on.IMO,capitalism and the chance to be succesful without the government punishing you when you get there is a fundamental drive,or atleast should be in this country.
Most of us will be punished for investing with the democrats in charge,(think for a second what that does to investing and the economy)the market will come back and when it does, they will have their hands out.
