Up in my area I have not seen a single deer over the last two weekends. Saw a sow and two almost full grown bear cubs but nothing else.Figure they are alot lower down and the eatings are real good. Everything is untouched. Even the wild grapes are completely untouched. Bunches and bunches of grapes rotting on the vine. Normally you never see any of them this late except for ones growing on top of nearby trees that are unreacheable from the ground but this year even my 4 year old could reach up and grab a bunch of grapes. I haven't even seen fresh deer droppings. Hopefully we can expect them to start showing up in the next week or so as they exhaust the food supply at lowers levels and farmers pull in all their crops, but honestly I am not sure. Will wait and see. Spoke to local deer processor/taxidermist on sunday and he had nothing coming in from the area so its not like my experience was an isolated event. Good luck to all.
