Well, I was more worried about where this population of deer went to. Usually during gun season we see alot of does running around and we have spotting a few very very nice bucks roaming the property before the season started. They cut the corn opening day of Archery here (beginning of October). We spotted some deer in the field the next day picking up the loose stuff, but the following week they brush hogged and plowed the field. There is still evidence of the deer moving about the field, but it must be happening very late in the evening cause i have only spotted 3 in the field in the past weeks.

I was more worried about what alternative food source these deer would be focused on if its not this corn field. I find fresh rubs on trees and sit for hours without even a doe coming to venture down these trails into the field. All of the surrounding corn is now down in the other farms surrounding the property...

What shouldI be looking for as a food source for these deer?? I set up between a food source and a water source and have been very very humbled by my 1st year with a bow so far.

Ill take any suggestions i can get. Im going to try again tonight and see what happens...Im just worried that if i cant even spot does that im not going to be successful once the rut peaks.
