I've done the same thing, but i dropped my rope and had to drop the bow from the treestand...this was years ago. Funny thing, this past saturday i was getting ready to hoist my bow from the ground and soon as i picked it up, the rope that was hooked to my treestand came undone, it fell about a foot and i caught it....i couldn't believe it, I have cat like reflexes, about 2 hours later i missed a big buck
