RE: rain gear dilema?
I love my MT050. Have had it for five or six years and it is very durable and quiet. I can' t speak for the rain suede but I the saddle cloth before the MT050 and it is definately an improvement. The saddle cloth, in comparison, holds water on the outside. It gets heavy and stays that way until it completely dries out. This can become a problem when away from home and a place to dry the stuff out. I don' t know if the rain suede is like that but my guess would be that it would hold a lot of water. The MT050 just needs a good shake and it feels dry. Worth the extra $$ IMO.
