Default SCARY muzzleloader ordeal

I got drawn out for a special ML hunt in southern Oklahoma (mcgee creek). I hadn't shot my ML so when I picked up my friend, I shot a few bullets and it shot pretty accurately. Yesterday morning I had a small buck come in on me right before 9am. So, I put the crosshairs right behind his shoulder, slowly pulled the trigger and he dropped in his tracks. Thank goodness! When I went to check him out, I shot him in the neck???? I'm not sure what the problem is. The road in was extremely rough (and there was no practice area). Or, maybe it's the scope. Heck, I dunno but I'm glad the good Lord was with me. I came out on the good side of this one. Time to take out the ML for a shooting session before next weekend.
