I used to love deer hunting. Thats how I was introduced to the great outdoors: in a ground blind with my dad, a .270, and a 9 point hitting the dirt. However, in South Carolina, deer hunting isn't much of a challenge. The deer are so abundant here, and because of this overpopulation, the biggest of the biggest deer are about 140"/ 225 lbs. I know a guy who last season harvested 57 deer; around 2/3 bucks. The daily bag limit for my gamezone: Unlimited antlered deer, 2 antlerless deer per day. Aug.15 - Jan.1. I could make that if I really REALLY tried, but I have a little more patience... I've shot 4 deer over 6 years of hunting.
Waterfowling... now THATS a challenge. By the time the ducks get south, they're extremely decoy/call shy from all of the other times they've been shot at in the north. It just takes a lot more skill and more input time. And, I've never had a bigger rush than watching greenheads juke right into your spread!

My favorite things to hunt are turkey and squirrel...Deer is just to popular. Your not a real hunter if you only hunt deer.
Lets be mature here. I know that this is the "Youth Forums," but if your old enough to be on the internet unsupervised, then you're old enough to not act like you're in elementary school.
