Well boys, i just got from the best hunt i have ever had. I didn't shoot anything, but it was by far the best hunt i have ever had. I got into my stand around 4:45. After a few minutes a couple really nice does came out at the far end of the hay field i was perched next to. They browsed for awhile and eventually went back into the woods. A couple minutes after that, i had 2 button bucks come into the field. They were a little closer (100 yards) then the does. They browsed away and eventually went behind some trees. Ihit myrattling antlers and the bleat call and my grunt call to see if i could attract anything. About 20 minutes later i hear movement and a TINY fawn and her mom come out into the field at about 30 yards. They are behind a tree with vines hanging off it though so i cant get a shot at mommy. The fawn spots me but keeps feeding out in front of me. She is in the open at about 15 yards this whole time. I videotape her the best i can, and i kept checking momma doe to see if she would come my way. Well she starts walking in my direction and i start getting excited. I glance up into the field to make sure i wont get spotted when i draw and i see the body of a deer on the edge of the field about to go into the woods. I pull up my binos real slowly and nearly crap my pants. This is what was watching momma and her fawn:






I almost fell out of my treestand. He wasted no time in coming out to the field to check the does. When he got close to momma, she bolted for the woods with him on her tail. They made a circle and came back out into the field. Where he started grunting and pawing a scrape. He then checked the does again and started walking out into the open field. After a bit he chased the momma doe again, and this time she went into the woods at the far side of the field, i hit grunt call just in time to stop him from going in. He turned around and started walking into the middle of the field. He browsed and checked does for about 20 minutes, until one of the does got nervous and took off. The rest of the deer followed her out of the field single file. After that i rattled and grunted again and called in a spike. On the way out i saw 3 unknown deer in another field. Also, i got this ALL ON VIDEO!!

This is the same buck my buddy got pictures of in August, and he has what i believe are 17 points. I'm gonna edit the video and hopefully get parts of it up later tonight or tomorrow.
