Default RE: What to do?

As the saying goes: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

However, I use the the 240 grain XTP mag in Harvester crush rib sabots because they are cheap to shoot if you buy in bulk. I've never experienced any problems with terminal performance. I use 100 grains of powder which gives plenty of velocity to open up the bullet on impact. I hunt in PA so a range of 100 yards is the max I need to shoot. I changed to Blackhorn 209 powder this year, and just harvested a doe with this bullet in the PA early muzzleloader hunt. The bullet opened up judging from the exit hole. The range was about 45 yards.
