propper use of a call or scent is no different than the proper use of a gun. you do not put a scent right where you are. you do not use a call when the deer is on top of you.i use a cover scent that blends with the natural surroundings. i only use the scented candles during the rut. i have been hunting the same buck for 2 years,a 9 pointer with about a 5 inch drop tine. we have not been able to get him out of the steep ravines.last year he came out and came to the scented candle. buck fever got me and i missed the shot. it was not the candle that scared him off, it was my bad shot .
