LOL...the Drury's? HA! Whatever. They're gonna follow the money, period. And who can blame them? They have a business to run too. PSE has been around a good long while as well, and if PSE cut them a bigger check...well.....Guess what? Bye bye Hoyt. I would bet a doughnut though that at the end of that contract if Hoyt were to offer a bigger check than PSE, they would be shooting Hoyt again. Which is why I pay very, very little attention to what the "pros" use.

I am not a Mathews fan at all, but if they gave me one....guess what? Yep, I would sure as heck shoot it. I do agree though, that Hoyt needs to do something other than rely on their name and longevity to sell bows. They've got to come out with something innovative, like they did with the Trykon. That bow made a lot of waves, and since then they do seem content to just ride it. The AlphaMax is a step in the right direction, but again....Not innovative. Not cutting edge.
I don't think it was just the money although it does help!

Companys that ride a name are not investing much. A business that doesn't do that is looking for a way out by keeping the bottom line clean. Looks good on paper. Investing cost money that isn't recouped until later. If you invest to much the bottom line isn't very attractive and that doesn't sell well. They've been just doing enough. Investing in the drurys isn't a stupid one and I think we can all agree on that. They didn't want to spend the money. Says a lot!

Had a local bank tell me how they deserved my business and how they were here to stay. Made their bottom line squeeky clean and then were sold, gone, I was out of a good business partener without so much as a goodbye. We have another one now. I like them a lot and tell every credit card company who calls that if I need one I'll get one there, were like a family around here. A real comunity. One guy from a forgien country who heard my words after trying to sign me up for oneasked if he could call me his father.
