.300 WSM is way more popular, so do you really need more than 180gr bullets? ask yourself that question, if yes, I'd look to a .338win mag, or how about a .45-70?

If talking a deer rifle, I'm a .270 Win. fan, or a .30-06, no need for more than that on a deer, so why kill yourself at the bench with recoil.
I don't know what you're looking for in the 325 WSM, but I have a 338 Federal which launches a 180 grain bullet just 200 fps shy of the 338 Win Mag with recoil comparable to a 30-06. I have one and absolutely love it. Not too stiff on the shoulder, but plenty stout enough for anything in North America
