Default RE: THE REAL obama

he is a Christian
is he? He sure did drop his church and pastor of 20yrs when the media got on him! Doesn't sound very dedicated, surely you don't believe he attended there 20yrs and didn't know what the pastor believed! Here's a qoute from Obama to CBN news:

"I think that the right might worry a bit more about the dangers of sectarianism. Whatever we once were, we're no longer just a Christian nation; we are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers. We should acknowledge this and realize that when we're formulating policies from the state house to the Senate floor to the White House, we've got to work to translate our reasoning into values that are accessible to every one of our citizens, not just members of our own faith community."

How do we as Christians change our "reasoning" into values that fit everyone? It can't be done and still be in line with the BIBLE. Truth is always the truth never changing.

I believe Obama is a good man because of what he has said.
You believe everything you hear and see on the news? I hope not.

I believe he's a good man because in the middle of the election, he has canceled his rally dates in order to be with his dying grandmother.
What person in their right mind wouldn't do this? And as I write this the media is making him out to be a hero for doing this!

So the company or relationships he has don't matter to you? William Ayers, Tony Rezko, Louis Farrakhan to name a few.

Everyone says he has the experience, Powell said he had the economic experience , fine show me!

I'd love to tell you that we all get to pay the same amount, but that's not realistic
I never said pay the same amount! I said whats wrong with the same percentage? Or even whats wrong withthe current tax bracket where the more you make the more you pay. I own a remodeling business in the suburbs of chicago and met with my accountant today. I found out that under Obama's tax plan I'm considered wealthy, I assure you I'm not wealthy. I see no reason that beacause I busted my butt over the years to build a business I should have to pay a higher % of my income so it can go to a bunch of lazy people claiming welfare! Just because you live in America doesn't give you a right to live off the government but it will under Obama because he'll "spread the wealth"!

Do you really believe this entire economy is the result of two years of Democratic leadership under Pelosi?
Not all of it some is Bush and some goes all the way back to Clinton, but as recently as July 08' Barney Frank said that nothing needed to be done with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac said they were fundamentally sound the democrats had a chance to avoid some of this mess.

His great health plan was tried in Hawaii and didn't go so well. If I can get insurance at anytime despite preexisting conditions why should I pay for it until I need it? That doesn't work, it's a plan for failure for insurance companies. Also if he gets it passed and it forces these small businesses to pay for insurance you'll see a lot businesses close or lay people off. I can't just go and raise my prices to homeowners, I'll have to cut somewhere which would be jobs! Burdens like these and all the other taxes is why so many business leave the states.

Obama's never worked like a middle class person. He's had his way paid for along time. Why won't he talk about how he went to these high class colleges and allhisconnections there and how he paid for it?

WestPalm you've been out in the sun too long
