Default RE: THE REAL obama

ORIGINAL: hammerman

Barack Obama is a good man as well. His tax plan works. I'd be willing to bet that many members of this site would benefit from his plan
And what proof do you have that he's a good man? He did very little in Illinois and he's done nothing great in the senate. And his character and choice of relationships is very questionable. He has no real leadership experience.

His taxplan is horrible! SPREAD THE WEALTH!! Why should people that have worked hard and made smart decisions and built a business pay more taxes than someone who for example decided to drop out of school and make minimum wage. It is already setupin thetax brackets that the more you make the more you pay. Obviously if you give a 10% tax cutto everyoneit's going to seem like the rich get a big break but its no bigger % than the guy that make minimum wage. Its not rocket science!

Have you seen what Obama and his wife make? They are not in touch with the middle class!

Furthermore, while I believe gun rights are important, there are FAR more important topics for me. Our economy, the war in Iraq, our foreign policy in general, health care, our education and our dependence on foreign oil are more pressing issues. No one is even bringingup gun control as an issue

I don't think that the gun control will be changed but with the other elections that are up and more than likely the democrats taking charge it will become an issue.

As far as the economy is concerned the worst down turn happened with Pelosi and her clan in charge o0ver the last 2 yrs! Barney Frank said that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were fine as late as July 142008'.
Oh, Hammerman, where do I start? I believe Obama is a good man because of what he has said. I believe he is a good man because, like me, he is a Christian. I believe he is a good man because I have seen the way he looks at his daughters. I believe he's a good man because in the middle of the election, he has canceled his rally dates in order to be with his dying grandmother.

No real leadership experience? You must be referring to the exact same amount of leadership experience that Abraham Lincoln had when elected. And in case you forgot, he did alright by Illinois.

Do you really believe this entire economy is the result of two years of Democratic leadership under Pelosi? You must be enjoying that kool-aid my friend.

In regard to the Hammerman Tax Plan, are you that naive? Have you really looked at it? I'm assuming you're not Warren Buffett, the richest man on Earth, because he is endorsing Obama's plan. If he thinks he's paying too little, doesn't that tell you something? I'd love to tell you that we all get to pay the same amount, but that's not realistic. It's not how money works. Unfortunately, someone has to pay more, in this case, it's the upper class- you know, the ones who aren't struggling to make ends meet.

Finally, in regards to the wealth of Mr.and Mrs. Obama, do you really want someone from the middle class to be President? Now here's where you have to be careful, Hammerman. Obama was born into the middle class. He was raised by a single mother and two grandparents. He WORKED his way to success. Isn't that something we look for in a leader?
