Still hunting here,.... Lots of Does, too many.....still seeing some of the smaller bucks. Had a really neat experience with what has to be the largest covey of quail i have ever seen, nearly 40 birds, i was ground hunting and set up in some weeds , all of the quail came walking thru at the most 12' away. kept telling myself, dont move!, must have taking them 10 minutes to clear the area,,then along comes 2 Rooster Pheasants and a hen.,....just after sundown out walks a 100" 8 pointer, he was within 30 yards eating some soybeans, it was great, he was very vocal and kept making alot of noises. kinda hard to describe, i waited till dark then walked out. keep up the hunting guys! i know i will! best of luck to you all!
