I found out the won't happen to me WILL catch up to you at some point.
I been useing a chain saw for years I know more than 40.
Two years ago I got in a hurry as it was starting to get dark and I needed to cleara tree across the trail to head for the house.
That tree was under tention so instead of walking around it, I say I can cut it and jump to the side to avoid it when it swings at me.
The tree as I remember it never touched me but the chain saw ripped my knee up really good.
I spent the night in the hospital after surgery for 2 1/2 hours.
the doctor said that he didn't do any stiches he did a cargo net to hold every thing in place till it healed.

I missed out on a lot of hunting just because it was hard to walk all wraped up like some kind of Christmas package.
I never got to go to deer camp that year either even though the cargo net had been removed the day before season started. I couldn't have pulled my weight there so passed on that.

I was healed fair by ML season so I did get to hunt in my back yard that year.
Also I will tell you it was NOT and accident. I am experinced and still did a dumb thing. I know what a chain saw can do, yet I took a short cutand I was not wearing chaps.
So don't take short cuts, wear the safety equipment and stay alert it really is a small price to pay in the long haul and your life may be spared.
