I am guilty of the no harness when I was younger.. and I took a fall out of the trees once or twice. Never hurt myself thank goodness. Now, if I am in a tree I have a double chest safety harness on. I line the new vest harness out there. I think that would be a much easier way to go.

Anytime you climb off the ground you're taking a risk. So be careful out there. I was told once to carry a cell phone as well. But cell phones do not work where I live because of the lack of towers. If they work near you, that are another good thing to have in your backpack.
