Default RE: Carbon Arrows

ORIGINAL: V8Ranger

Why would shooting a stiffer arrow be a problem? I understand if its not stiff enough. I am no expert shooter but feel I shoot fairly well. I don't keep a 3"group or even a 4" but close to it, if I can hold still lol. I can probably keep a 6" grouping constantly.

i have had my groups open up alot by an arrowbeing TOO stiff ,
slightly stiff dosent seem to matter
but overly stiff gives me terrible grouping.

at what distance are you shooting 6" groups ?

reason i ask is ,
3"-4" isabout myaverage groupat 60yds.

if you are getting 6" groups at less than 40 yds
you couldget much better groupsby walkback tuning,
and possibly playing around with point weight to affect your arrows spine.

on the same note,
i have had underspined arrows group incredibly with field points ,
butthey werevery inconsistentwith broadheads.

i feel that keeping your arrows as close to optimal spine as possible will give you the best groups with field points AND broadheads.

just my .02
