Default RE: Mast crop this year

ORIGINAL: mauser06

i cant buy an acorn to fall from a tree while im in the woods!!! last year was pretty much a bumper crop in all my areas though...

though alot of my trees are whites and chestnuts which both produce well yearly i believe....must been something with the weather...late frost, drought this summer, too much rain early summer...i dont know....making things somewhat difficult....once the corn is gone, i dont know what they'll be eating....
Even the biggest white oaks dont produce yearly. A lot of things can go into the equation. Here is a link with the actual equation for acorn production.
