Tow - I really can't say what the recoil would be like in a full sized rifle. I have the 325WSM in the Browning Micro Hunter and it definately has more recoil than my Ruger 77 300 Win Mag. Of course your talking a rifle with scope that tops out a just a tad over 7 lbs. I shoot 200 gr Accubond bulletsover 68 grs of RL19 powder. I must say though that it is very accurate. I was hoping to see what it would do on elk last year but couldn't find one I wanted to drop the hammer on.
Saying that, and as much as I like this rifle, if I didn't have a 300 Win Mag, I probably would have gotten the 300 WSM.
And if Ruger would go back to the tang safety instead of that darn 3 position one, I might even look at the 338RCM.
