I personally don't look at the camera per acre aspect. I have 3 cameras right now. 4th maybe soon. You could have 100's of acres but only a pecentage of that is what the deer use. Before season, (May or June) I have an aerial map of my land and pick out funnels, crop corners and other natural areas for deer. Set out trophy rocks and and see what that attracts. Then in around Aug I walk all my field edges and see where the most tracks are and look into the timber to find the trails. Gives a good idea of whats out there but when rut kicks in it all changes. Get picks of bucks I've never seen and the ones that I did get pics of seem to disappear. Just experiment and move them and see what you get.
