Since you decided to protect the rifle with bore butter.. do your self a favor and check that barrel in a couple days. When you used water, if you were not 100% sure you removed every bit of it, and bore butter trapped any, there is a chance you could rust your rifle barrel.
I did run a dry patch after running the hot water through the barel before I used the bore butter. I will check though just in case. I will be using it this Sat., so I will check it Thurs. or so and make sure it's good.
