That is an incredible deer, and really a great shot too. Hard to say the situation at hand, but any shot like that they are down very quickly. I agree, I would rather have a little more broadside, but I can tell you from experience - when you shoot one at that angle....they go down very quickly, especially if you don't get a passthrough. I would not hesitate to take that shot if its all I had. Of course if that arrow is a crossbow bolt, you have issues [8D]
