Default Question about wet conditions and establishing a clover plot?

A few weeks ago I planted a couple acre plot of clover mix (white dutch/ladino). The first couple weeks were dry and I was praying for rain but now that the rain is finally coming were getting more than necessary. Anyway, the area where I planted tends to be on the wet side when we get a significant amount of rain and will even have standing water in a couple places if not allowed to dry out sufficiently between rains. How will these conditions affect the establishment of my clover plot? Last I checked most of the clover seedlings were just beginning to develop and were quite tiny. If these areas with standing water do not dry up soon enough will it kill the clover seedlings or seeds in these spots? Just wondering.
