Hmmm. This is a new one on me. I have owned many and used a lot more, semi-autos over the years, and don't recall any metallic-looking grease on any of them! What is that stuff, anyway?

I've never had any problems with a semiauto that could be attributed to grease, or a lack of grease either. A little grease might help make them function better, but not in really cold weather!! Like you often get in hunting season.
