Try to be realistic here OKbowhunter. Please try. This is not a slam on Bowtech 360. We should be 100% confident on every shot that we take. If not we are failing ourselves and the game that we are pursuing. Sure there are little twigs and branches that we do not see after we take a shot. But, if your not confident to begin with your going to make more mistakes then hitting the unseen twig.
Take me hunting OKbowhunter. When I step out of your truck to head to my stand I'm going to tell you that I'm not confident in my shooting. I want to see the look on your face! I think your missing the point here.
The guy said he would not be comfortable with a shot in the rain, so he woudn't take it. Please tell what is wrong with that, and why that would call for any re-evaluation. It sounds like he is being totally responsible.
As far as being confident, you can NEVER be 100% confident in every shot you take. That is not possible. There are infinate unseen variables that can happen without your knowledge before you take that shot. You could bump your sight, your peep could slide a little, your rest could fail, you could get off-balance and just the wrong time....see what I am getting at?
I am confident in my shooting, very confident. But I do not know for certain that every shot that I take is going to hit the exact spot I am aiming for. I am pretty damn confident thatI can put a lethal shot on a deer at 40 yards or less though. I am not saying that to be cocky. I have praciced my arse off to get my shooting skills to a level that is acceptable to me, and I will shoot within the limits I have set for myself. The point is, I am confident, but I can never know exactly where that arrow is heading. I killed two deer last week and both shots were right where I aimed. That is why I practice.
You say it wasn't a bash on Bowtech360, but I don't see how it could not be.
