Default RE: Maxiball lube?

I am familiar with the SPG lube. I have a luber sizer that it works well in but without that you can use following method. Put the stick ina pan and set pan in another pan with water in it on the stove. Heat slowly until the lube melts. Try to size the first pan or container so that the height of the melted lube will be the same as the top groove on the bullets (with only one stick to work with you will have to use a relatively small pan or container. Once the lube is melted set all the bullets you can cram into the lube container and let it cool. Once cool find a tube (plastic bullet holder from the many available that the bullets come in) and use it like a cookie cutter to remove the bullets one at a time. Once done repeat until all bullets are lubed. A lot of work to get bullets lubed. You could use the bore butter with more ease although I do like the performance of the SPG lube and it is more stable when cool. The bore butter always stays somewhat messy. You could also try heating the stick of lube in a microwave just until it gets soft and work the lube into the grooves of the bullets by hand. I have not tried that as I have the luber/sizer but it might be possible and be less work for you. If you try the microwave be careful to not get it so hot it will burn as hot wax is difficult to get off your body quickly.
