I also recommend the Model 60. I' ve had many years of service and many thousands of rounds through it and it has always performed perfectly. As far as a scope goes, I would recommend the Simmons 22 Mag scope. It' s 4X32 and really clear and sharp. I paid around $36 for the scope about 2 years out of Midway and I believe I' ve seen them advertised in Cabelas for about the same price. It also comes with rings. The Tasco scope that came with the Marlin fell apart and wouldn' t hold zero. The next Tasco I put on it did the same thing.
