I started in a double garage w/ a poured floor. Had stove, wood stove an out house and electricity to start, home built bunk beds. . Cabelas has kits, if you search the internet you will find kits that are easy (even for a guy like me) to build. The garage is excellent and low maintenance, no shingles, aluinium everything nothing to worry about. If you feel like it insulate.
