It is Ultra Light Arms. Owner is Melvin Forbes, his shop is in West Virginia. I like the rifles because of their reputation. Very strong, accurate, reliable. I can carry a heavy gun 11lbs, but why. Lighter is faster always, you can carry a lighter rifle longer. I know we are talking about a differeance of a couple of pounds, but it is true. As far as accuracy his guns are VERY accurate, are they one hole shooters probably not, but you don' t need that type of accurracy for 99.9% of big game hunting. They will shoot more accurate than most shooters can. As far as bench rest shooting goes, once you get your rifle sighted in with the load you will use for a particular hunt you should LEAVE the bench rest shooting alone and shoot in modifde FIELD shooting posistions. These reduce " felt" recoil (except for prone)and it is what you will use when shooting at game anyway.

I talked with Melvin last week he tells me they make several .338 win mags a year hardly a rifle with a timid reputation.
