I agree with the last week in October for pre-rut. That is a great time of year to pull the horns out and do some grunting. First week of November into the second week is usually full rut. It is almost impossible to pull the bucks away from the does this time of year. I agree just be in the woods and be ready because the action usually comes fast and furious when it does come. I don't know if it is true, but I have always been told that does come into estorous because of the length of the day. When it isunseasonably warm, than theydo most of the breeding at night. Just what I've been told.
