i am going to get some flack about this but i own one of my dream guns already. it is a customized browning a-bolt in .308. mcmillan stock, krieger barrel #7 contour 1in11 twist, moyer trigger stoned to about 1 1/2 pounds, leupold vari xIII 6.5x20x50mm scope(dnrsports.net 520.00 dollars), dual dovetail bases, action trued,pillar bedded, tack driving machine. this gun shoots in the .4' s and .5' s easy. and if i could hold it steadier it might shoot tighter. i shoot this gun exclusively at the range and sometimes take it to the field for ground hogs. i love it. my next project is an a-bolt 300 win mag, and an a-bolt 270wsm. i am thinking of having the 300 chambered for the 30-378 if possible and doing everything to the 300 that i did to my .308 adding only a muzzle brake and going with a #4 contour lilja barrel for elk and long range target practice. havent quite narrowed the barrel down for the 270 wsm either pac-nor or krieger. the rest will be the same as the previous two. the browning fans on this page have got to be drooling, and maybe even some of the remington and ruger fans will too.. thanks guys i hope that one day we all have a many of the dream guns as our safes will hold. keep the threads coming they have been great.........
