I have a 18 month old lab that is finished out he is a hardcore hunter, first retrieve was 500+ on a snow goose but i just got a pointer pup in may and am trying use him for the field hunts for geese, in the water my lab has him beat hands down but a cripple in the field has no chance with the pup has anyone used a pointer for waterfowling, he is not a pure bred he came from an accidental litter, mama is a champion lab who is amazing and his papa is a champion pointer, so he is built like a pointer with the coat like a lab, any suggestions or comments on using him for a waterfowl dog? I live in md so if anyone is looking for a stud lab let me know
