I was born and raised in Troy but now live in Oneida near Syracuse. I still go to Pittstown state forest every year. I missed my first Buck in the swamp on the back side of the mountain when I was 16. That was 15 years ago. Man have things changed there since then. Notto many deer there but my dad took a spike on the last day of the season last year.
I also saw 2 bear cubs at the Tibbits state forest just up rt 7 last year.
