DM...I totally agree that you can get a happy medium with the point of aim...BUT, like you said it is in the hands of the manufacturer. They need to make every caliber/combo differently to compensate for different trajectories. Savage and Remington are too cheap.

You're right about the pressure...if you're talking about larger calibers. I'm talking .223, so that's not an issue.

Maybe I'll just look for a Valmet. LOL

And I've never been a fan of see through mounts. Anytime you move your scope farther from your barrel, and have to crane your neck...it's not the best situation.
