This is a tough subject...people either say you don' t need them or swear they work great. I had a 1b in 280 and it didn' t need it nor did my 1s 45/70 both shot well that I didn' t want to muck with anything . My complaint with the 1b was the trigger pull, the 1s came from Ruger with a sweet 3 1/2 lb trigger.
