I have defend the Savage 24f here. The 24 has the .223 on top and the 12ga. on bottom. I use the iron sights for the shotgun and they are dead on at 100 yards with the ammo I use(Managed Recoil Buckhammers), with the .223 I use a scope and see-thru rings and get very good accuracy. As I have said not the best .223 or the best 12ga., but more than enough for what I need. I seldom meet someone who has owned a combo who doesn't still own it and love it or got rid of it and regret that they did.
