Its late for any fall plot right now - but.......... Iif you haven't already plater..........'d key on the "best fall plaot that is different than what is already growing" if I were you.

Sounds like your soil is top-notch -
In some areas - RYE is a great plot because few farmers fall plant it, others - its a plot like Buck Forage Oats.

If you are interested in primarily this fall's hunting - I'd stay away from Perenial clovers and brassicas -
Grains are probably the ticket - if you didn't do a soil test - put down a balanced fertilizer like 13-13-13 - 100 or 200 lbs/acre. The worst that could happen is you are out a couple dollars for "extra fertilizer".

You want a plot you can hunt over in 3-4 weeks - it has to be something that comes in quick.
