If you look a page or two back, I asked a similar question and I'm not convinced that these Rem combos are all that strong a gun.

First off...the .223 is on the BOTTOM of the 12ga/.223 combo. That means your scope is actually mounted on the barrelof the shotgun...the barrel that will be used at closer range. Upon investigation, that is a Russian thing left over from the Biakal days.

Many of the owners have the same complaint that the Savage model 24 owners have...If the rifle is sighted in properly, the shotgun is a foot or so off, or vise versa.

I'm passing on both for now. I've owned Savage 24's and they're OK...but not what I want in a varmint weapon.
