Actually the Luger was chamered in several rounds, granted the 9X19 is the most common. Here' s a list.... 9X19mm, 7.65mm (.30luger), .45acp, .380acp and .32acp. (last three VERY rare)
Though I agree that his answer to the .45acp part was correct, even though the German' s never had it. America did not like the 7.65mm/.30 Luger nor did we like the 9X19 so they made the two in .45acp which we still didn' t like. The .380acp and .32acp were never tried by the U.S. Military.
