Well today was opening day. I got out alittle later then i wanted. did not need my flashlight to walk in but i still got in early enough and did not spook any deer.
I noticed a guy set up a stand about 60 yards from mine on up the trail. Bad thing for him is the deer come across the creek right infront of me then walk by his stand. . Just shows how much you need to scout and how you need not be lazy and set right on the first trail and fields you see.

i did not see one deer i saw a few gray white birds that hang around the area they have long legs and long necks look like cranes.
I saw only one squrrial two. dan where is the wildlife.
I must have got the scent stuff done well when i left my clothes still smelled like the woods and the scent killer. I had hoped to do a afternoon blind hunt but i got to replace the brakes on the truck i bought yesterday. It is newer and in a heck of alot better shape the the big loud 85 chevy i had. Looks like some one ground the rotors down the replaced the pads. I think the car dealer sprays wd40 all over them because the just made alittle noise till this morning and there rotors are the second worst i have seen. The worst where ground so much they broke.
